In 1926, Fun Land opened its doors, but after 75 years of success, the business began to falter. In 2001, the board hired the eccentric Mr. Giggles to revitalize the store with new products. His ambitious project, dubbed "Super, Crazy Amazing Fun Land," was filled with innovative toys, games, and puzzles, but unfortunately, many of these creations were flawed, leading to the store's bankruptcy and closure. In 2017, Mr. Giggles became enraged when he learned of the store's impending demolition. To prevent its destruction, he strategically hid clues throughout the building, hoping that someone would solve them and save Super, Crazy Amazing Fun Land. Seven years later, Mr. Giggles presented a challenging puzzle hunt to the people of Springfield. He warned that if they failed to solve the puzzles before time ran out, Super, Crazy Amazing Fun Land would be leveled to the ground, trapping them within. ​
